This cold sink protrudes into the channel in the opposing part, forcing the air over it.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The hole fit pretty well, there&#8217;s a bit of clearance but I&#8217;ll seal this up with some silicone when mounting the cooler for real.<\/p>\n<p>On the outside, I had to drill and tap the holes in the hardpoints.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2705\" style=\"width: 1010px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.familjenjonsson.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/2020-03-22-15.13.52.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2705\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2705\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.familjenjonsson.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/2020-03-22-15.13.52.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"557\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2705\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">This is the hot side of the thermoelectric cooler. This will also need a fan. The wine cooler I stole it from has a slanted fan mounted under it, I&#8217;ll have to do something similar.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I marked the locations of the holes by trial fitting the thermoelectric element and managed to drill and tap pretty accurately.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2706\" style=\"width: 1010px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blog.familjenjonsson.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/2020-03-23-20.37.47.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2706\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2706\" src=\"https:\/\/blog.familjenjonsson.org\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/2020-03-23-20.37.47.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1000\" height=\"750\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2706\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The thermoelectric cooler, now mounted with screws.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>I&#8217;ll also need some sort of guide so the cover can be positively located in the correct position, and then some latch or something to hold it in place. I have some 8mm guide pins that are left over from the EFI project (I was going to use them for the throttle linkage) that I&#8217;m going to use.
